To contain the huge influx of fans and tourists, only people with tickets will be issued visas. The Hayya Card — a mandatory all-purpose identification card for the World Cup visitor. The Hayya Card (Hayya means “let’s go”) not only acts as an entry visa to Qatar but it must be presented — in addition to your ticket — to get into the stadium on match days.
All the 8 stadiums are within a 35-mile radius of Doha, and in fact, five of the eight stadiums are accessible via the Doha Metro (shuttle buses will take fans to the outlying stadiums).
Like any other country in the world, once you are in Qatar you should be aware of the Laws and Customs of the country. The country is making some allowances for the coming influx of fans and tourists, to make their World Cup experience more colorful, but still you are still expected to follow the local laws and customs.
